Brilliant Crocein - Acid Fuchsine

Brilliant-crocein acid fuchsin is a histological staining solution consisting of a mixture of two dyes: Brilliant-Crocein and Acid Fuchsin. The combination of these dyes allows staining of various tissue components, especially muscle fibers and cell nuclei.

Brilliant-Crocein is a synthetic azo dye that produces a strong red stain. It is often used in combination with other dyes to show tissues in different colors. Acid fuchsin is a synthetic dye from the acid dye group that produces a violet-red stain and is used to stain cell nuclei, muscle fibers, and collagen fibers.

In Movat Pentachrome staining, Brilliant Crocein acid fuchsin is used to visualize muscle fibers in red. This staining method allows detailed examination of tissue structures and is particularly useful in the analysis of vessel wall layers or inflammatory changes.
