INCLUDAL L

INCLUDAL L consists of gelatine, distilled or deionized water and benzalkonium chloride for synthesis. This combination is frequently used in medical diagnostics and histology as well as in scientific laboratories, particularly in the field of tissue preparation and preservation. Gelatine serves in this solution as a hydrolysed collagen that is capable of binding large quantities of water and thus forms a gel-like consistency. The solution in deionized water guarantees the necessary purity and absence of impurities. Benzalkonium chloride, a quaternary ammonium salt, acts as an antimicrobial agent and contributes to the preservation of the sample. The chemical reaction within the product is primarily characterized by the formation of a solid gel matrix, with the benzalkonium chloride helping to extend shelf life by suppressing microbial growth processes. The product enables effective preparation and preservation of histological specimens, which can then be used for microscopic examination.
