LADEWIG’s Solution
Ladewig solution is a special staining solution used in histology and histopathology. It is used to stain connective tissue structures to visualize collagen fibers, elastic fibers, and cell nuclei. Ladewig solution consists of a mixture of methyl orange, acid fuchsin and aniline blue.
Ladewig staining allows differential visualization of various connective tissue structures, which is particularly important in histological and pathological diagnosis. It can be used to visualize changes in connective tissue, especially in inflammatory or degenerative diseases.
