Acid fuchsin ponceau (GOLDNER I)
Acid fuchsin-ponceau solution (GOLDNER I) is a combination of the dyes acid fuchsin and ponceau de xylidine used in histology as part of the Goldner trichrome stain. This stain allows differentiated visualization of various tissue components.
In Goldner trichrome staining, the acid fuchsin-ponceau solution is used to stain cell plasma and extracellular components an intense red. Cell nuclei are stained by Weigert's ferric hematoxylin, which gives them a blue-black coloration, while connective tissue is stained by light green or aniline blue. The combination of these dyes ensures clear and differentiated visualization of the various tissue components, which is of great importance in the evaluation of cellular structures and histological findings.
