Silver Nitrate 0.1 mol/l (Chloride Test)
Silver nitrate 0.1 mol/l is widely used in chemical analytical methods for the determination of chlorides. As a reagent in argentometry, a method of quantitative analysis, silver nitrate interacts selectively with chloride ions to form sparingly soluble silver chloride. This interaction manifests itself in the formation of a white precipitate. The amount of silver chloride precipitated can then be used to calculate the original chloride concentration in the sample. This solution is therefore an important component in routine testing in environmental, food and clinical chemistry, where it is used to quantify chloride ions in various matrices such as water, food and biological fluids. Its precise concentration allows accurate and reproducible test results.
