DELAUNAY’s Fixative

DELAUNAY Fixing Solution serves as a ready-to-use solution for the fixation of tissue samples for medical and histological diagnostics. The solution contains acetone, denatured ethanol and trichloroacetic acid.

It has the advantage of stabilizing the condition of cells in a sample and preventing them from changing or dying. Through a mixture of acetone and denatured ethanol, it acts as a dehydrating agent that removes water from cells and as a fixing agent that solidifies cell structures. In addition, trichloroacetic acid contributes to protein denaturation and stabilization, preserving cell morphology. Through these processes, the DELAUNAY fixative solution enables precise and clear microscopic evaluation of tissue samples. This helps to provide meaningful diagnostic information and enables further analyses such as immunohistochemistry and molecular techniques to be performed on the fixed tissues.
