Ethanol, ethyl alcohol, colloquially called alcohol is an aliphatic, monohydric alcohol with the molecular formula C2H6O. The pure substance is liquid and colorless at room temperature, as well as highly flammable.

MORPHISTO offers ethanol in various concentrations (grades) in the fully denatured form with methyl ethyl ketone, isopropanol and Bitrex. On request, the partially denatured form (methyl ethyl ketone) is also available in Germany against user verification.

Ethanol is used in histology for dehydration in tissue processing and as a solvent or cleaning agent in various laboratory applications.
