Acid Fuchsine - Orange G
The combination of acid fuchsin and Orange G provides a differential staining that allows different tissue structures, such as cytoplasm and muscle fibers, to be distinguished from each other in different shades of red. Acid fuchsin orange G solution is used in various histological staining protocols, such as CROSSMON's trichrome stain and Goldner's trichrome stain.
Acid fuchsin (C.I. 42685) is a synthetic acid dye used primarily to stain basic structures such as proteins in cells and tissues. It stains these structures in various shades of red.
Orange G (C.I. 16230) is a synthetic, azo-based dye that exhibits yellow-orange staining. In histology, Orange G is often used in combination with other dyes such as acid fuchsin to provide differential staining of tissue structures.
