Hydrochloric Acid 31 %
Hydrochloric acid 31% represents a common and valuable laboratory chemical whose applications range from analysis to synthesis and purification. In its chemical composition, it is an aqueous solution of hydrogen chloride, which gives it strong acidic properties. It enables numerous acid-base reactions to be carried out and serves as a strong oxidizing agent. Its pronounced proton donor property also allows it to be used to adjust pH in scientific and industrial processes. In materials testing, such as in Oberhoffer's macroetching agent, it is used to make the microstructure of metals visible.
