Formaldeyhd or formalin is a hazardous substance which may only be used in the laboratory under a fume hood or with adequate room ventilation. MORPHISTO offers a range of alternatives for the fixation of histological samples, including an in-house development together with the company Biosepar (MorFFFix®), which chemically produces the same fixation reaction as formaldehyde but leaves no free aldheyd groups in the solution.
