Hydrochloric Acid 25 % p.A.
Hydrochloric acid 25 % p.A. is a dilute solution of fuming hydrochloric acid 37% (HCl) and aqua bidest (ultrapure water). It has a wide range of applications in medical diagnostics, histology, metallography and scientific laboratories.
Due to its chemical properties as a strong acid, hydrochloric acid is often used in chemical reactions as well as a process regulator. In histology, it is intended for Berlin blue staining, which makes iron deposits in tissue samples visible. Medical laboratories use it to adjust pH levels, in the extraction of biomolecules, and as a catalyst in chemical reactions.
In metallography, hydrochloric acid 25% p.a. is important in the study of the structure and microstructure of metals and alloys. As an etchant, it enables the grain structure to be increased, which facilitates microscopic analysis. In addition, it is relevant to the analysis of corrosion behavior by dissolving certain metals and alloys, such as steel or aluminum.
In scientific laboratories, the dilute hydrochloric acid solution can be used in the synthesis of new compounds and in titrimetric analyses. Potential results from the use of hydrochloric acid 25% p.a. include the identification of iron deposits, recovery of biomolecules, and the study of microstructures and corrosion resistance.
